UAS sends an open letter and report to Jared Kushner about the General Staff Building Complex
The Union of Architects of Serbia (UAS) has conducted an assessment regarding the intended project of Jared Kushner and his partners on the site of the General Staff Building Complex in Belgrade.|
On 18 November, UAS sent its conclusions to Jared Kushner with an open letter summarizing its findings, and an unambiguous conclusion. The UAS professional assessment is that the project is destined to become a liability to its investors.
UAS urges Jared Kushner to proceed, as per Article 4 of the investment contract signed with the Government of Serbia, to the termination of this deal.
The UAS analysis reflects positions expressed by leading professional organisations, academic experts, heritage specialists, urban planners, civil society initiatives, in Serbia, Europe, and the world.
